On Saturday, February 23, 2013, twenty-three BMC members braved leaden skies and met at Mr G’s Ristorante for lunch. Pam had originally planned to try Ma Fia’s in Opelika, but, concern over inadequate seating for an unexpectedly large group, she picked Jimmy’s in Opelika, just around the corner from Ma Fia’s. The third choice was Johnny Brusco’s, in Auburn, but the weather forecast for Saturday was pretty bad. So, anticipating a small group not wanting to get their British cars wet, Pam opted for a staycation, skipping the driving and going straight to the food. Members enjoyed meals from the wide selection of Greek and Italian fare.
We had only a handful of British cars but did get to see Jess’ and Melenda’s two “new” Jaguars.
Thanks to all who attended on such a dreary day. And, special thanks to Pam for being so persistent and for making the most sensible call in the end. Obviously she still has several ideas for another lunch run.
