Once again we met at the lovely Marks House on Pike Road for our annual get together. Good food, nice presents (well, some were not all that great!) and good friendship. Dirty Santa was up to his usual tricks but fortunately we are all still speaking and no blows were traded. At least not that I know of!
It was good to see Tom and Laurie Peacock up from their Florida residence. Tom had recently had a fall on a dirt bike and broke some ribs. We were concerned for him, but he says he is making a solid recovery. I forgot to ask… was that a British bike? Probably not.
That’s Andy’s wife with the Triumph clock and I think she got to keep it, believe it or not. That will go nicely in the garage next to that TR-6.
That’s Jim Harrow and Doctor Peden enjoying the food and although Ms. Peden was not in attendancewe want to thank her for the food preparation that she did. Also, once again we must thank Pam Bransford for planning the party and all of the ladies that were responsible for the great food. They never fail.
Looks like Andy Martin found another use for that wire brush which it wasn’t designed for. Prez David Price and Kay were unable to attend due to Kay’s medical problems but we were glad to hear that she is doing much better and we hope to see her at one of the club events in the not so distant future. Vice Prez John Huggins took over the MC duties and did a great job.
Overall an enjoyable evening and we thank everyone that came and look forward to next year…. Roland Townley
Congratulations to our annual award winners. The Canavan Award went to Jim and Betty Harrow. The restoration pictures can be seen By clicking here This is a beautiful car and well deserved award. Tommy Potts received our Needham award for club participation. Tommy has become a very active member who has gone well above the norm this year. I cannot think of a single outing, meeting, or event this year in which Tommy was not involved somehow. He is always offering a helping hand and helpful suggestions. Again, congratulations to both.
