President Hank Sims called the meeting to order at 7:03 P.M. on November 11, 2019 at Jan’s Beach House Grill. There was no financial report.
Old business was discussed. Tom Miro reported on the British Car Festival in Fairhope on October 26. Due to torrential rain, attendance was down. Russell Whigham and Tom attended the November 2 Birmingham Motoring Club show at Brookwood Village. It was lightly attended, too.
New business was discussed. There will be a car show in Helen, GA on November 23. It includes all makes of cars. Tom will get the info to Russell to put on the club website. David reminded participants of this year’s Tired Butts tour that Friday, November 15 is departure day which will be from Burger King on the Northern bypass at 8:00 A.M. Tom, Andy Martin, and David will take turns leading the way.
Cathy Whigham reminded everyone that the deadline to pay for the Christmas party at Bon Appetit in Millbrook on December 14 is November 22. The cost will be $20.00 and must be prepaid. The rental is strictly from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M and early arrivals cannot be accommodated. Annual awards will be handed out at the dinner and donations to Children’s Harbor will be accepted. Checks should be made out to Children’s Harbor so that the organization can acknowledge gifts.
There will be no December meeting. The date of the January meeting is to be determined due to the football championship.
Being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 7:45 P.M.
