Children’s Harbor Art on the Lake 2018
2018 marked our second Show & Shine for Children’s Harbor. The weather forecast all week called for 70 to 80{d7bb5f80100d9cc8ed36d8b44483fdbf859ff4aee0deeb25afed5de8e54bd8dc} chance of rain for the day. The morning of the show, that probability had dropped to 15{d7bb5f80100d9cc8ed36d8b44483fdbf859ff4aee0deeb25afed5de8e54bd8dc}.
The dire forecast took its toll. I spoke with Vicki Tuggle of Children’s Harbor. She stated the wet predictions had caused several vendors to withdraw. The same was true for us. The weather however, turned out great without a drop of rain. We had eight cars this year and a delightful time, though down from the fifteen of last year..
As a few of us wandered through the arts I spied a great new addition! By the water was cocktail bar serving bloody marys and mimosas. Lecia was with me, and we took two of the bloody marys. A really great addition! There were some great artists there. We purchased a spoon ring and looked at the rest.
Lunch was again at Kowabunga per Tom and was tasty as always. As we prepared to pack up a MGT series car tooled down Hwy 63. He didn’t stop, but we’d like to find this guy.
Thanks to Russell & Cathy – MINI, Dan – MGB, Blitz & Amanda – Spitfire, Ben & Meg – MGB, Tom – TR6, Pam – MGBGT, Hank & Debra – Jaguar XJS, and David – MGA for braving the blues skies!
