2017 Johnny Brusco’s Pizza Run

Several of our regular road trip folks couldn’t motor with us on our trip to Johnny Brusco’s Pizza, in Auburn, but we still had four classic British cars, four members in non-British vehicles, plus five MINIs from the River Region MINIs and that’s not counting the two MINIs with dual membership in the BMC.

Meeting at our now regular place for north and northeast bound trips – Burger King on N.E. Bypass and following a quick drivers’ meeting, we were on the road at 10:00.  We had good motoring over the hills and around the bends of Redland Road.  We met Hank and Deborah and regrouped in Tallassee then stayed on AL 14 to University Dr. in Auburn to our destination. [MAP]  Congratulations to the group for staying together and heeding the Group Motoring Tips.

We were surprised to see Roland and Doris there waiting to greet us when we arrived.  It was good to catch up with them since their move to Auburn.  We tarried in the car park long enough to check out all of the cars and take a few pictures.  Once seated inside, we pored through the several pages of menu options.  Our pie was certainly worth the drive.

Thanks to Charlene and Tad for this photo of the Little British Cars

With belts tighter, we adjourned to separate locations.  The MINI group went for dessert of Steel City Pops on Toomer’s Corner, downtown.  The rest took the scenic route back home via Farmville Road, Walnut Hill, AL 50 below Martin Dam and on through Eclectic back to Montgomery.  While no one would have minded if it had been twenty degrees cooler on that late September day, I think everyone enjoyed the outing.
