The rain that wasn’t supposed to arrive until later in the evening, showed up early Saturday morning. Hamer opened his shop at 8:00am with light rain already dripping from the eaves of the building. Hamer does this every year for the BMC members who labor to keep their little British cars on the road. On this day, David was the only one using the lift. The MGA had been losing brake fluid but not around the master cylinder. It should be an easy matter to find the leak under the car, right? Well, despite the collective brain trust of the other BMC members there in a technical advisory capacity, no leak was found. With no other cars to “fix”, story telling and camaraderie filled the rest of the morning. Congratulations to first time visitors, Terry and Tom, for finding Hamer’s shop. And, special thanks to Hamer for the use of his shop. A good time was had by all.
