What a nice day we had for our annual show and picnic. The new venue was very nice. Next year and beyond we should be able to build on this venue and attract more cars – come rain or shine.
A shout out of thanks to some folks who, every year, work before, during, and after our show to make sure everyone has a good time. Russell Whigham always scouts out every nook and cranny and heads off many unforeseen issues. He also photographs the cars and the event for our website. Then he almost immediately updates our web page. Tommy Potts works every year gathering tables and supplies. His day is far from over when we leave the show. All that he has gathered must be returned to the owners. Pam Bransford – what else can you say. She organizes food every year and gets help from several ladies. The food is always outstanding. Blitz Welch, as outgoing as he is and car focused as he is, still ties himself down to printing our pictures. Cathy and Verna agree – registration is theirs and if they could get me out of the way – it would go even better!
A huge thank you goes to Terry Young this year for our change in venue. There were a few surprise issues and Terry saw to it they were taken care of so everyone would have a relaxed and enjoyable day.
Lastly, thank you to every one who brought your cars to support the show. We would love to have more, but this first year at this site was very good. Now we build on it.
